About

Not too long ago, I started thinking about how much time people waste simply “trying on” different roles in life. That awareness coupled with my belief that God put us on the earth with a specific purpose in mind caused me to begin looking into the process of discovering our whys. Though I have a PhD, my pursuit of an answer is far more experiential than academic.

When we begin with why, we can determine what to do, and then uncover some ways to do it. This is a life that matters. This is a life that will echo throughout eternity. This is why we are here.

I am the author of numerous Bible study resources by some of today’s most well-recognized leaders—Billy Graham, Max Lucado, John MacArthur, Chuck Swindoll, Charles Stanley, Sheila Walsh, and Dwayne Moore. In addition, I have contributed to projects by John Maxwell, Ken Blanchard, Tony Morgan, and others.

My wife and I live near Birmingham, Alabama. We have two married sons and one grandson. When we aren’t drinking coffee, you’ll find us enjoying the outdoors and exploring central Alabama enjoying the beauty it offers.
